Sustainable Materials and their impact on commercial interior design

Abstract

Modern trends in architecture and interior design call for dealing with the environment and its ecosystem in harmony between economic performance, social responsibility, and behaviors of preserving the environment. This is what is called today compatible or sustainable architecture. Environmental sustainability in architecture is an essential part of sustainable development and the preservation of natural resources for future generations. on planet earth. The concepts of sustainability are planning for climate response by integrating energy efficiency, preserving natural resources and reducing operating costs, and the principles of waste reduction as well as the use of sustainable environmentally friendly materials. Our urgent needs to apply sustainable design and change traditional patterns in design to more sustainable patterns, which reflects positively on our lives, our economy and our environment.
Since the beginning of the nineties, the focus has been on the sustainability of raw materials and recycling by manufacturing waste materials to produce new products based on the same raw material, such as recycling iron, aluminum, glass, paper, etc., and then the process of producing sustainable raw materials by reusing or remanufacturing has become one of the most important methods of waste disposal in a way Environmentally, economically and socially safe. The research problem came as a result of the emergence of environmental problems (such as burning rice straw) that urge the necessity of recycling natural waste. With the lack of use of environmentally sustainable materials in Egypt to create a contemporary interior design. This research aims to shed light on the importance and types of sustainable materials that are applicable in commercial interior design and make it environmentally friendly, with an understanding and analysis of the modern technical capabilities in applying sustainable materials to contemporary commercial establishments, and will this be compatible with brands and fashion, or is it proportionate and contemporary as well? .
