Abstract

Abstracts:

Rock engravings constituted the legacy of civilizations and peoples that interacted and coexisted over thousands of years. The engraved and drawn drawings reflect part of the social, economic and psychological behavior of the ancient man who created them. Studying them enabled us to get to know these cultures and civilizations, some of whose aspects still characterize our current culture.

The Assa Zag area is considered an important gathering of rock art sites, as it links historically and culturally the sites of Draa Central and Sakia El Hamra. These sites provided us with a scientific opportunity to reconstruct and build an approximate historical picture of most of the socio-economic structures in the desert and semi-desert expanse. The rock heritage engraved in Asa Zag is characterized by its diversity. Its topics and the extension of its time periods made it occupy a prominent position in scientific research, especially in the geographical field of Lower Draa and its ancient material cultural extensions in southern Morocco.
