The idea of the research paper revolves around a very important topic, which is to highlight the features of human settlement in Yemen during the Neolithic Age, and to find out whether Yemen has witnessed cultural, technical and economic development in the pattern of settlement in this era, within the framework of “cultural anthropology” and chronology.
This paper explored a large aspect of the important changes in the lifestyle and settlement in many sites of this era, and that the basic change is related to fundamental shifts in the sources of livelihood and survival, as many environmental indications emerged from agriculture and domestication of both plants and animals.
The construction of large and stable settlements prevailed in this Neolithic era, and these settlements provided data about the oldest settled societies. These fundamental changes in the settlement pattern also coincided with technical progress in the manufacture of stone tools, which in turn provided information about the development of the economic and social system, during which signs appeared. The first is for the spiritual and ideological aspect through the rock arts they left behind. On the other hand, some of its aspects are still shrouded in mystery. This is due to the scarcity of archaeological research and excavation work.
