Abstract

This research focuses on the evolving relationship between art and technology, with a particular emphasis on the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in visual arts. It explores the historical development of AI applications in the artistic domain, starting from the theoretical foundations in the mid-20th century, through the advancement of neural networks and deep learning technologies, to modern applications in generation, analysis, and restoration.

The study highlights key AI applications in visual arts, including generating digital artworks, analyzing artistic styles and patterns, understanding color schemes and compositions, and restoring historical art pieces. Additionally, it examines the impact of AI on artists and audiences, showcasing its potential to enhance creativity and improve artistic productivity, while also addressing challenges such as fears of replacement, intellectual property concerns, and biases in algorithms.

The research concludes that AI represents a transformative force in reshaping the future of art, underscoring the importance of its responsible and ethical use and emphasizing the need for ongoing dialogue about its implications for human creativity and artistic innovation.
